Then I had another dream that me, my mom and dad went to Walmart and were shopping, I went off on my own and kept finding snakes in the shelves... two of them were absolutely gorgeous, one green and black and one orange and black, huge snakes like maybe the width of my forearms and like from my foot to my hip long. The third one was a lot smaller and just dark green. Maybe the length of my arm and width of my thumb. The two huge snakes were gentle and just wanted to lay on my shoulders but the third one kept biting me and attacking my hands. I put them in card board boxes and brought them home. I set the boxes down while I was setting up tanks for them. I went back to check on them and they were gone.... I was walking through the apartment looking for them then all of a sudden I feel a thud on my shoulders. The bigger nice snakes were on top of the kitchen cabinets and slithered down to me to lay on my shoulders. I dont remember if I found the small mean one. I remember looking down at my hands and seeing purple marks where it bit me. Like my veins were turning purple and it was running up into my arms.... I thought maybe the smaller one was poisonous. I felt fine but I was gonna just keep an eye on it. An owl flew into the house and perched on a picture frame on the wall. The snakes slithered off my shoulders and ate the owl, bit it in half and shared it. Then they went back to my shoulders..... then I woke up
Your dream contains rich symbolism and imagery that may reflect various aspects of your subconscious mind and current life situation. Below is a detailed interpretation of the key elements within your dream:
Shopping at Walmart with your parents represents a quest for fulfillment or gathering resources. This familial setting could symbolize support systems in your life or a desire for security and belonging. It may suggest that you are navigating personal or family-related issues.
Snakes are common symbols in dreams and can represent dualities: they are often associated with both danger and transformation. In your dream, the presence of different types of snakes could reflect a complex emotional landscape:
The Beautiful Snakes (Green & Black, Orange & Black):
The Aggressive Small Snake (Dark Green):
Putting the snakes in cardboard boxes indicates your desire to contain or control these feelings or aspects of your identity. Preparing tanks for them signifies a need to provide a safe space for these emotions or qualities, reflecting a desire for understanding and managing them. The disappearance of the snakes could symbolize unresolved issues or feelings that you thought you had contained but have slipped away from your grasp, suggesting you may be neglecting certain aspects of yourself or your emotions.
The purple marks indicate a visible sign of the struggle; they are not just injury but a transformation—purple often representing spirituality, creativity, and insight. This suggests that the experiences you are going through, while painful (especially from the smaller snake), may lead to deeper understanding or growth.
Owls are symbols of wisdom and intuition. The owl's presence could represent a guiding force or inner wisdom enlightening you. However, its violent end at the hands of the snakes signifies a conflict between wisdom and primal instincts or concerns in your life. It suggests that there is something you need to address about navigating wisdom and emotion. With the snakes consuming the owl, it could imply that you are prioritizing emotional or instinctive responses over logical thought or wisdom at times.
Overall, this dream seems to reflect a struggle between the beautiful and transformative elements of life (the large snakes) and the smaller, more aggressive fears or challenges (the little snake). You are likely navigating complex emotions, family dynamics, and situations that challenge your sense of security and self-awareness. The owl symbolizes a potential guidance or insight, hinting that you should not lose sight of your wisdom in dealing with these issues.
Consider reflecting on areas in your life where you feel torn between anxiety and empowerment, and seek a balance that allows for both the expression of emotions and thoughtful consideration. This dream could be an invitation to explore these feelings further, perhaps even seeking support from loved ones or professionals if necessary.
